Our story.
Sondra and Kenneth Rhoads Salon was established in 1963 by the husband-and-wife duo, Sondra and Kenneth Rhoads. For more than 60 years, it has been a beloved of the Carlisle community. Unfortunately, Sondra passed away in 2023, followed by Kenneth in 2024. The salon has now been rebranded and is proudly managed by their daughter Kendra and granddaughter Madeline, who are committed to upholding its outstanding reputation and serving the community for another 60 years!
Sondra Rhoads
1938-2023
Sondra touched the hearts of so many. She was the creator of our business and poured her heart and soul into it for over 60 years. If you have ever come into our salon, chances are you got the pleasure to meet this amazing woman. Even after retiring from hairdressing, she continued to visit and entertain our guests with her incredible personality. You will be so missed. Rest in peace, Sondra.
KEN RHOADS
1937-2024
If you have been to our salon, chances are you met this wonderful man and creator of our business. He always had a funny little remark (usually a silly made up name or word) and could always put a smile on your face. He was patient, kind and hardworking. He had the most loyal clients; some staying with him for 60 consecutive years. He will be missed deeply by so many. The salon will never be the same without Ken and Sondra but we hope you continue to feel their warm and loving spirits around you.
